THE SPACE
We like to think that the iconic Qualicum white raven would gladly rest its feathers here! The Nest’s 575 square feet are a tidy and bright restful space of coastal calm. The welcoming bedroom is furnished with soft cotton sheets, down pillows, velvet accent cushions, a cozy Pacific Coast down duvet, and flameless candles for a relaxed mood. Ease into your morning with a coffee enjoyed in the fresh air on your private patio. After a day at the beach, pour yourself a glass and enjoy making dinner in the well-organized and spacious kitchen. On rainy days curl up on the couch with a tea and watch your favourite show on the 58” Smart TV. The washroom is well-supplied with shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash, and in-suite laundry makes easy work of washing the sea salt from your clothes. Natural light, a breezy colour palette, and houseplants bring the effortless feeling of beachside living to this Nest amongst the trees.
GUEST ACCESS
The entrance to Raven's Nest is accessed through a private driveway shared with our house. One driveway parking spot is free to guests and an alternate road parking is available if needed instead. Qualicum Beach is very pedestrian-friendly, so you might find you don't even need your car keys while here!

Raven’s Nest is nestled in the back of a good-sized town lot on a quiet road within charming Qualicum Beach. The conveniences of town are only a ten-minute walk away; however, you would think you were in the country for the lack of traffic noise.
A pleasant five-minute walk down our street takes you to a children’s playground, soccer fields with a peek to the ocean, and Ravensong Pool. From there, a forested path leads you to Second Avenue, where you can browse boutique shops, break for a drink at your choice of several coffee shops, and find some tasty bites at neighbourhood restaurants serving a range from sushi to gourmet burgers. Prefer to make use of the Nest’s kitchen by being your own chef during your visit? A short amble further takes you to great selection at Quality Foods and, if it’s Saturday, you can peruse the Farmer’s Market to bring home fresh local produce.
Qualicum Beach boasts fantastic access to Nature’s wonders, and you only have to walk around the corner to Larch Drive to reach the beginning of a series of beautiful forest trails. A five-minute drive or half-hour walk takes you to the beach and some lovely summer paddle boarding. If you wish to explore further afield, many other great destinations, such as Rathtrevor Beach, Englishman River Falls, and Cathedral Grove are within easy reach.
THINGS TO NOTE
The guesthouse comfortably accommodates 2 to 4 people: it's most suitable a couple or small family. A queen bed is located in the bedroom area and a queen sofa bed in the living room.
The guesthouse shares the driveway to our family's home and is located on the back half of our property. The kitchen (which has Venetian blinds for privacy) views part of our backyard, where at times my children play, but is otherwise private and separate. It has its own patio with privacy screen and cedar hedge separating it from our yard. You might at times hear children playing, but we do our utmost to respect your privacy.
