Welcome to Iron Horse- This 4 bedroom, lake front retreat is one of a kind. Situated on the west side of Lake Windermere in a very private setting, with an unobstructed 180 degree view of the lake and Rocky mountains, which you can enjoy from the comfort of the family room in front of the fire or 7 person hot tub. Direct access to the lake via a private dock plus you can bring your boat as it also includes a buoy to keep your boat safe. You can also book the Freight Train Suite to accommodate two more guests (additional fee applies)

With its open concept, the second floor has a cozy vibe accentuated by its gas fireplace, large picture windows, and sliding glass doors that open, allowing you easy access to the wrap-around deck with lake and mountain views. This living room will be where your family can gather to plan the day's adventures, relax or watch tv together on the large SmartTV with streaming services above the fireplace.
Chef’s Kitchen:
It's easy to fall head over heels with this gorgeous kitchen situated on the second floor. This kitchen will be the heart of the home during your stay. Designed specifically for the chef in your family, this kitchen has granite countertops, a large island, double sinks, and everything you need to cook a turkey dinner if you so choose

There is 3 bedrooms located in the main house and the fourth bedroom is located in Bull River Station (just across the drive way)
Sleeping Arrangements:
Bedroom 1: King Bed, walk-in Closet (the ceiling is open to kitchen and family room, so a good bedroom for last to bed and first up type people)
Bedroom 2: Queen Bed, TV (quietest room in the house located on the lower level)
Bedroom 3: Double over Double bunk beds and pull out couch, TV and games table (kids room)
Bedroom 4: Bull River Station suite with a King Bed (Private and away from the others but use of the out house right beside the suite is required for late night bathroom breaks)
Potential to also rent our Freight Train Suite with Full kitchen, bathroom and Queen bedroom. Available mid April to mid Oct at an additional cost.

Outdoor Space
Its what makes Iron Horse Cabin really impressive. Lounge in the sun, breath in the fresh mountain air, look out over the lake. You'll find this wrap-around deck is the place to be, with a propane barbecue, propane heater, lounge chairs and outdoor dining table that can accommodate everyone with plenty of space left over. We have also added a fully screened in room with wood burning fireplace. Feeling a little stressed? There's also a private hot tub, ideal for refreshing soaks during summer evenings or relaxing after a day of hiking or skiing. Plus an outdoor shower for quick rinses after swimming or using the spa.
Important note-We have a legal crossing that allows quests to cross the tracks to access the water or dock/buoys. (Kids should always be accompanied by an adult when crossing and head straight to the dock or house) Guests should stay when the yard at all times except to cross the tracks to access the water. Feel free to ask any questions you might have but its very safe with lots of visibility each way down the track.
