This cottage has been redone down to its bones. It is ready for year-round rental.
This cottage has central heat and a/c for year-round comfort. There are four bedrooms, two bathrooms, two large gathering spaces, and a nice size front porch. There are two tables for eating and playing games. The large table will seat 8+. There is an additional table to seat another 4+. There are enough beds to sleep 13. The upstairs has three bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower/tub combo. There is one bedroom on the first floor and a bathroom with a shower. Appliances we have them all - kitchen disposal, washer/ dryer, dishwasher, dual fuel stove, microwave, toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker and a tankless hot water system.
There is a circular Weber charcoal grill. You need to bring the charcoal and matches.
There are board games inside the cottage along with different levels of books.

Lakeside Chautauqua is an amazing community. There is daily programming so be sure to check out the Lakeside Ohio web site. Lakeside helps to allow you to experience a slower time. The community includes large pier going into Lake Erie, downtown shopping, restaurants, ice cream shops, movie theater, parks, splash pad, pool, wellness center, playgrounds, basketball, tennis, pickleball, shuffleboard, mini golf, art classes, worship, exhibits, and classes. Don't forget to walk along Ohio's Most Beautiful Mile, along the shores of Lake Erie.
Outside the gates there is a lot to do in the surrounding communities; Cedar Point, wineries, animal safari, waterparks, island hopping, and restaurants galore.
Near Mazurik Boat Launch.
There is a plastic fish cutting table outside.
At no additional cost, an electric four-person golf cart is included for use during the week. The golf cart is available End of May until the Middle of October. You must have a valid drivers license. You must be 21 years old to operate the golf cart. The golf cart is to be used only inside the gates/fence of Lakeside. The golf cart has a capacity for four people. The golf xart must be plugged in each night. The golf cart is electric.
The internet is available year round. There is no cable TV.
The TV is a smart TV - if you have a subscription to a service it will work on the TV.
There are some other toys with wheels in the shed. There are also some items to play with in the shed.
The cottage sits on a lot and a half. There is plenty of room for playing/relaxing in the yard.

Two sets of single over double bunk beds

Linens are provided. As a convenience, all beds are pre-made with sheets prior to your arrival.
The sheets are being washed on the hottest cycle.
All sheets will be cleaned upon departure by the cleaners. The renters are responsible for taking the sheets off the beds, that were used, and placed near the washing machine. Please do not put the bedspread next to the washing machine. Leave the bedspread with the pillows on the bed. The renter is responsible for putting used towels and bath mats next to the washing machine. High-efficiency front loading washing machine detergent is included.
There are some pool/beach towels.
There is a community pool. Please check the Lakeside Ohio web site for dates and details of when the pool is open.
Upon departure, guests must clean and put away all kitchenware.
Dishwasher detergent is under the kitchen sink.
Upon departure, all items from the shed need to be returned inside the shed. The shed doors need to be latched with the clip upon departure.
The location of this cottage is amazing. Close to Ohio's Most Beautiful mile of a walking trail. Laurel Ave. takes you right up to the new aquatic & wellness center and pickle-ball /tennis courts. It is a short walk to downtown. Walk out your front door and see the lake. The front porch has a view of the lake down the street.

During the Chautauqua Season, there are gate fees, parking fees, and other policies, not included with the cottage rental. Please see the Lakeside website for any further details. During the Chautauqua Season rentals are from Saturday to Saturday. Reduced rates before Memorial Day and after Labor Day.

The charcoal grill has to be used outside the cottage. Make sure the grill is placed in the middle of the yard when it is being used.

Parking:
Three parking spots right at the cottage.
There is one parking spot directly in front of the cottage, on the rocks. Please make sure the small blue cottage can still get out of their driveway.
There are two more parking spots. On the rocks between the tree at the street and the neighbors garage. Pull your vehicle directly onto the rocks between the tree and neighbors garage.
There is also parking along the neighbor's lawn across the way. Please don't park on the lawn. There is also parking on Third Street between Laurel Ave and Vine Street on the side of the street with the sidewalk.
Cancellation Policy:
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before the arrival date. You must contact the owner directly to talk about a cancellation. If I can find another renter I will return your money minus fees from Vrbo.com.
