Fully renovated heritage home built in 1827 along the UNESCO designated Rideau Canal. Accommodates 10 adults in five bedrooms with room for an additional 4 children. Heritage Stables is just down the road, where you can book a variety of farm experiences. Kayak up to Merrickville for lunch, or sit on our large deck and watch the boats pass by. If you are bringing a pet you must add that information to your reservation. A $25 fee per stay will be automatically added to the cost of your stay.

The space
The main floor includes a large family room with a TV, coat closet, full bathroom, 2 bedrooms, open kitchen and dining room. The 2nd bedroom can be converted to an open space or 2nd living room to host larger gatherings and events. The second floor includes 3 bedrooms, a full bathroom, a reading nook, a laundry room and access to the large 2nd floor deck.

Summary: We are a senior couple who spent 3 nights at Jake’s cottage with 12 other senior friends of ours. We had a wonderful time and all facilities were excellent, as mentioned in the post. It was very easy communicating with Jake who was very patient with our queries and requests.
