Summary: Price was reasonable but condition of place needs some major attention. Stains on lamp, door blinds didnt go all way down reducing privacy. Room was generally clean but bathroom needs overhaul. Floor was damaged and spongy with clear signs of water damage. Taps unreliable between hot and cold. My partner burned her hand the water was so hot. Main entrance was slanted like the buidling was sinking but sturdy. Stayed years ago and it was ok then but the place has not not been maintained well and has potential to be amazing if done right with the location and lake attached.

You get what you pay for, its half the price of other resorts in busy summer time. Based on other reviews I had an idea of aged and outdated building but being gross is not what i was expecting. They don't even bother to clean the main entrance full off spider webs, ants and dead mosquitoes welcome you with fresh scent of old boots as you enter for check in. Then in the room....
Door was so hard to open / close, again that old rustic smell, bed sheets had stains , blankets were stained and were gross. They had a weired smell. Pillows were joke, very small, bring ur own pillow and blanket if your are clean freak. Bring ur own soap.
But the only thing that overcame all these was the lake, room was right on lake the main reason we chosed this place, it was beautiful, clean beach, free canoe and paddle boats, life jackets, kids park is right beside it. Very quiet and peaceful, lake is not deep, you can go far into it just by walking, water wasn't cold, perfect. Bbq grills are there bring your own propane tank. I did bbq right on lake was best experience. I mean i would go there again only if they update their beddings. Please management. You can do better. And clean your entrance please. That kills the whole mood.

Summary: This is a hidden gem - it’s rustic but you have that sense when you book it. It was the perfect get away and with lots of surprises in the area to explore. The drive here was great and the Foodland was an experience!!! The prices were completely reasonable and there is this little gift store that has some amazing finds. Highly recommend! The coffee shop across the street from hotel is an amazing little bistro I was not expecting.
The gym is incredible for a hotel facility and if you needed a few days to train away from everything this is your gym!! Again this is an unexpected and impressive surprise!
